Letter: Volunteers could open Peterborough’s Lido

Does the city council have a plan in place for when this fantastic facility is allowed to open?

The French authorities have managed to open pools with pre-booking a time slot, limiting the pool activity to lane swimming and 
customers arriving swim ready.

Whilst I am a regular swimmer, I am thinking of those people I see at the pool for whom swimming is a necessity for their mobility.

If the council needed volunteers to assist in getting the Lido ready for opening, I am sure many of us would form an orderly, socially-distanced queue.
