Letter: Peterborough care home treated dad with respect

During these difficult times of restricted access to loved ones in nursing homes, we should like, through your pages, to commend the staff of Lavender House in Peterborough.

They cared for our father, Dr Leslie Pringle (pictured), when the family was not allowed in to see him.

They have taken such great care of him, even at times when his dementia made things very difficult.

All the staff treated him with great respect. The family is so grateful for the care and dedication they devoted to him, especially his final two weeks when he was very ill.

A member of staff stayed with him, so he died – of old age (92) - with a familiar carer beside him.

A big ‘thank you’ to Lavender House.
