More interest in restaurant/bar openings in Peterborough city centre


The vacant former Ladbrokes bookmakers and adjoining nail and beauty salon at 8A and 9 Church Street are subject of a planning application for change of use to restaurant or bar.
The buildings neighbour Bill’s restaurant, itself a former Lakeland store on Church Street, and are just a few doors down from the one-time Santander Bank branch which is subject of an application from Cote Brasserie who are looking to splash £lmillion on a new restarant there.

Hide AdA spokesman for the applicant said letting the buildings, with offices at first floor level, was difficult but that there had been interest from potential tenants as a restaurant or bar.
The Cathedral Square area has becomes the city centre’s booming eating out quarter since its multil-million pound redevelopment and is home to the likes of Nando’s, Wildwood, Argo Lounge, Chimichanga, Prezzo and Pizza Express.
Japanese noodle bar chain Wagamama also looks set to take over shops oberlooking the square too.
