Man rushed to hospital after serious accident at Peterborough industrial estate

There is a large emergency services presence on Ivatt Way following a serious industrial accident.

The road has been closed, and police, fire and ambulance are all at the scene.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “Police were called today (27 August) at 1.56pm to reports of an industrial accident in Ivatt Way, Peterborough.

“Police, fire and ambulance services attended and a man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.”

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “At around 2pm, we were called to an incident on Ivatt Way, Ravensthorpe. Crews from Whittlesey, Stanground, Dogsthorpe, St Neots and the Incident Support Unit, along with one crew from Market Deeping (Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service), attended.

“Ambulance, police and an air ambulance are also in attendance.

“A man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.”
