Man dies as a result of fall from Town Bridge in Peterborough

A man has died as a result of his injuries after falling from Town Bridge in the city centre

Police and the Magpas Air Ambulance attended the incident today (December 9) and briefly closed off part of the bridge to pedestrians while crews dealt with the incident at the scene.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called today at 12.20pm to reports that a man had fallen from the Town Bridge in London Road, Peterborough.

“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital, but died as a result of his injuries.

“London Road was temporarily closed but has since reopened.”
