Man charged over Tilney St Lawrence tractor theft and chase

A man will appear in court this morning charged in connection with a police pursuit of an allegedly stolen tractor over the Norfolk-Cambridgeshire border at the weekend.

Nathan Lovell, 25, of Trinity Road, Wisbech, is due to appear before magistrates in Norwich via videolink charged with theft, failing to stop and driving without insurance.

The charges relate to an incident in which police were called to reports of a man trying to steal a tractor from a farm on Church Road, Tilney St Lawrence at around 8pm on Saturday.

After leaving the scene, the tractor was pursued by police towards Wisbech and found in the Oakyard Crescent area of the town.
