Man arrested over crash with police car on Peterborough parkway released without charge

A man arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a collision with a police car on a Peterborough parkway has been released without charge.

The crash happened at 11.45am on Friday on the Fletton Parkway, whan a Vauxhall Zafira was involved in a collision with a marked police car near Orton Goldhay.

Two police officers suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The driver of the Zafira was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Today a spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the driver had been released without charge.
