King's Lynn trains all cancelled

Trains are currently badly disrupted in and out of King's Lynn on the Cambridge to King's Cross line.

Great Northern said that due to damage to the overhead electric wires between Ely and Lynn all lines are blocked.

Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 miinutes or substantially revised. At present all scheduled services are showing as cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 10pm tonight, GN said.

There has also been substantial disruption on the East Coast line today with damage to the overhead wire also blocking the line all day between Peterborough and Sandy in Bedfordshire. Replacement buses have been in operation.
