Mrs Cox was shot and stabbed in Birstall, West Yorkshire yesterday (Thursday, June 16).

A man has since been arrested by police.

The vigil is the second to take place in Peterborough this week.

On Tuesday evening, a vigil was held at the Holocaust Memorial, St John the Baptist church, Cathedral Square, in solidarity with the people who lost their lives in the recent Orlando shootings.

The vigil was hosted by the Peterborough LGBT Equality Council.
