Fire crews called to two arson attacks within 10 minutes of each other in Northborough

Crews from Thorney and Dogsthorpe were called to two separate straw bale fires in Middle Road at around the same time at 9.34pm on Wednesday March 8.

The first incident involved three straw bales and firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The second incident, 10 minutes later, involved 15 straw bales. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish this fire also and crews returned to their stations by 10.25pm.

Both fires were deliberate.
