Faith Festival at the Town Hall
The annual 'Faith Festival and Food' took place at the Town Hall in Bridge Street last Sunday.
Chair of the Peterborough Inter-Faith Council, Dr Jaspal Singh (pictured) opened the meeting, and the keynote speech was delivered by Peterborough City Council chief executive Gillian Beasley.
Her speech was entitled ‘Local government involvement and support in Peterborough’s festivals and events’.
Further talks were then delivered about the Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish and Sikh faiths.
An Annual General Meeting was held at the start and a vegetarian buffet lunch was enjoyed at the end.
