School reopens and water returns to areas of Stanground in Peterborough following burst water main
Water supply has returned to areas in Peterborough that were previously cut-off on Thursday morning (April 23).
Many residents in Stanground were left without water throughout Tuesday and Wednesday (April 21-22) with others experiencing extremely low water pressure.
The problems also forced Oakdale Primary School, on Oakdale Avenue, to close.
Anglian Water began investigating the issue and found that they were caused by a burst water main.

As of Thursday morning, water supplies were returned to normal and the water main repaired. The school was therefore able to open again and homes were once again able to use water.
A spokesperson for the school said: “The school was forced to close at lunchtime yesterday, with parents sent a message to pick up their children by 1pm.
"The burst pipe had temporarily affected water supply at the school, including the ability to flush toilets.”
