Police appeal for witnesses to serious collision between lorry and motorbike on A1 at Peterborough
Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike was in collision with a parked lorry on the A1 at Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire Police said the Volvo lorry was travelling from junction 17 of the A1 at Haddon onto the A1139 eastbound when it pulled onto the hard shoulder at about 3pm on Friday (19 December).
“The Honda motorcycle, being ridden by a 40-year-old man, crashed into the rear of the HGV after it had stopped,” a force spokesperson said.
“The rider was airlifted to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.”
Anyone with information or dashcam footage either just prior to the collision or capturing the collision itself, is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident 320 of 19 December.
