Donation will fund new talking book
The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) received a £2,000 donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation to fund a new talking book.
Stewart Jackson, MP for Peterborough, joined Katie Rock from the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society at its branch in Cathedral Square to present the donation. Julie Gibson (pictured), library engagement manager for the RNIB, said: “We know from listening to our readers that reading can change the lives of blind and partially sighted people and our talking books service provides more than one million audio books every year to people with sight loss.”
