There were several reported incidents on the weekend of February 22/23 which included groups of young people causing damage, throwing litter, spitting, throwing stones and banging on doors and windows.

Many of them have now been spoken to by officers.

Inspector Nick Waters said: “Several of these individuals have now been identified and visited by officers in the presence of their parents and guardians. Our enquiries continue and where criminal offences cannot be evidenced, these individuals will be subject to our ASB process in conjunction with South Holland District Council.

“This is a tiered approach. Should the same individuals continue to be involved in ASB they may be subject to criminal behaviour orders being placed on them which puts strict restrictions on these individuals, breaches of which are a criminal offence.

“Anybody with any information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the south rural beat team on 101 or email [email protected].”
