Warning after spate of vehicle thefts in Stamford

Police are reminding residents to ensure their vehicles are secured after a spate of incidents in the Stamford area.

Overnight on May 6, attempts were made to break into five cars on the following streets: Bradshaw Road, Culpepper Way and Grove Crescent (three times).

Police also received a number of reports of thefts from vehicles during the same period:

. A BMW was broken into in Elgar Way – several items were stolen including tools and torch.

. A Peugeot 3008 was broken into in Ermine Way - prescription glasses and other items were taken.

. A Ford Fiesta was broken into in Lambeth Walk - items taken included loose change.

. A Mercedes was broken into in Cromarty Road - several items were stolen from the car.

. A Ford Focus was targeted in Culpepper Way - a CCTV monitor was taken.
