Warning after spate of thefts from vehicles in Peterborough

Police have issued a warning after a spate of overnight thefts from vehicles in Peterborough.

Police have received reports of thieves targeting cars in Sugar Way, Dogsthorpe, Bretton and Westwood.

Items stolen include a sat nav, money, sweets, school bags and sunglasses.

Amanda Large, crime prevention officer in Peterborough, said: “Please make sure your vehicles are always locked and secured and there are no valuables on display. It’s also worth investing in a driveway alarm which will activate internally when an intruder enters the driveway/garden.
