Last weekend dispersal orders had to be put in place in the Ortons to stop loud anti-social drivers causing a nuisance in the area.

Cambridgeshire police also said they had confiscated a car of a driver who was doing 'donuts' in the city last night.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: "We were called at about 9.10pm yesterday (30 October) with reports of a vehicle being driven dangerously in Lime Kiln Close, West Town, Peterborough.

“Officers attended the scene and located the vehicle. The driver had fled the area, but the vehicle was seized for having no insurance.

“As demonstrated by this example, the public play a vital role in helping us tackle irresponsible driving. Anyone who witnesses this kind of activity should report it to us.

“Doing donuts, drifting and similar driving behaviour is completely irresponsible, extremely dangerous and has previously resulted in people being seriously injured in Peterborough.

“Motorists should drive sensibly and in accordance with the law to make the roads safer for everyone.”
