UPDATE: Two men charged after pizza delivery driver is robbed and left in critical condition in Peterborough street

Two men have been charged in connection with a serious assault in Peterborough yesterday morning (Sunday, May 8).

Mark Lintott, 29, of Shrewsbury Avenue, Peterborough, and Joel Lawson, 25, of Goodhale Road, Norwich, have both been charged with robbery. The latter was also charged with possession of cannabis.

Both are due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (May 10).

Police were called at 1.30am to reports of the assault in Shrewsbury Avenue.

The victim, a 45-year-old man who was delivering pizzas at the time of the robbery, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where he remains in a critical condition.
