Two Peterborough men arrested following Valentine's Day stabbing in city

Two men have been arrested following a stabbing in Peterborough on Sunday.

One man needed hospital treatment after violence broke out in Fletton High Street on Sunday.

Police were called at 9.43am on February 14 to reports of violence.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be serious. He has since been discharged.

Today a police spokesman confirmed arrests had been made this morning.

The spokesman said; "“Two men, aged 20 and 25, were arrested in Peterborough this morning (Wednesday 17 February) on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, in connection with a stabbing in Fletton on Sunday morning (14 February).

“They remain in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.”
