Two men arrested in Peterborough after armed police swoop on two homes

Two men have been arrested in Peterborough after officers swooped on two homes in the city.

At about 7.30am today (19 March) officers conducted pre-planned firearms warrants at addresses in Woodcote Close and Hawksbill Way, Peterborough.

Road closures were put in place around the scene while the officers worked at the scene.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “Two men in their 30s from Peterborough have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug. They remain in custody.”
