Two men arrested after 1.5 ton digger stolen from Peterborough address

Two men have been arrested after a 1.5 ton digger was seen being stolen from an address in Peterborough.

The men aged 30 and 46 were arrested in a van in Oundle Road at around 11.30am on Thursday on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

This was after a report from a member of the public.

Both men are currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station, a police spokesman said.
