Two charged with fraud and burglary in Peterborough

Two men have been remanded in custody after being charged with burglary in Peterborough.

John-Paul Ellis, 38, was arrested in Orton Malborne on Wednesday (July 22) and has since been charged with three counts of committing fraud by false representation, namely using a stolen bank card.

He has also been charged with one count of burglary in connection with an incident in Warwick Road on June 19 where an engagement ring, other jewellery and a bank card were stolen.

Daniel Simms, 45, of Lythemere, Orton Malborne, was arrested on Friday (July 24) in connection with the same incident and has since been charged with one count of burglary.

Simms appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (July 25) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on August 21.

Ellis, of Salix Road, Hampton Hargate, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday (24 July) where he was remanded in custody to also appear at Peterborough Crown Court on August 21.
