Two arrested after man hit by car in Peterborough

Officers investigation an incident in Peterborough where a man was hit by a car have arrested two people.

At about 4.30pm on Friday (21 August), police were called to reports of a person being hit by a car in Taverner’s Road.

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

On Friday evening a 25-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a metal baseball bat, and drug driving.

On Saturday afternoon (22 August), a 19-year-old woman from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and theft.

Both of them have been released on bail to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on 16 September.
