Police were called to reports which described the scene as violent ‘melee’ involving several men. The Peterborough Telegraph understands the men were all known to each other. Reports suggested the men were armed and that a handgun had been seen.
A Cambridgeshire Police control room spokesman said: “Officers were called to reports of a violent incident in the street. There were reports that a male had been attacked by three men. There was a suggestion that a handgun might have been seen so the response was proportionate. Officers arrested three suspects at the scene.”
