THIRTY EIGHT suspected stolen Apple Airpod headphones seized from Peterborough car boot sale
A huge crate of suspected stolen Apple Airpod headphones were seized from a Peterborough car boot sale.
Peterborough City Council said the headphones were found at the Wellington Street sale during a planned partnership operation on Sunday, April 26.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Officers from the council’s Regulatory Services team, along with Peterborough Police and Peterborough Positive visited the Wellington Street car park car boot sale on Sunday. During the operation police seized 38 boxes of Apple AirPod headphones that were believed to be stolen.
“Officers also spent time speaking to stallholders who said that police and council officers attending the event on a regular basis has helped deter the sale of counterfeit goods there.

“At a similar operation last year, officers seized over 675 items with an approximate sale value of over £10,000 that were surrendered or abandoned on the site, including confectionary, cosmetics, chocolates, coffee, laundry detergents, deodorants, sanitary products, face cream and bathroom products which were donated to charity.”
