Much of the serious criminality is linked in someway to drugs – even down to street dealing that happens in quiet – or sometimes not so quiet – corners of our city.
New statistics from Police UK have revealed how many drug offences are recorded in each neighbourhood in Peterborough.
The data is recorded as how many offences take place per 1,000 people living in each council ward.
The rate for England as a whole is 3.2 – while Peterborough’s rate is much higher, at 5.1.
The figures relate to the time period June 2025 to May 2026
