Teenagers (18) and (15) 'jointly responsible for stabbing' of Peterborough 16-year-old, murder trial told

The trail of Emidas Krutkevicuis and a 15-year-old boy, both accused of the murder of Baye Bireme Fall in Peterborough has begun.

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 15, were jointly responsible for the death of the 16-year old, who was stabbed to death in Orton Goldhay in April, a court has been told.

Emidas Krutkevicuis (18) of Garton End Road, Peterborough and a 15-year-old boy who can’t be named for legal reasons, have been charged with the murder of Baye Bireme Fall in Riseholme Orton Goldhay on April 12.

On the opening day of the trial on Friday (October 16), a jury at Peterborough Crown Court heard how Baye- known as BB to his friends- was killed by a single deep stab wound to the left of his lower back, which pierced through to his heart.

The court heard that both Krutkevicuis and the second defendant arrived together to an arranged meeting, in Riseholme, close to the Ortongate Shopping Centre, with knives.

The prosecution has not stated which of the two defendants it alleges inflicted the single fatal stab wound but in her opening Kate Wilkinson, prosecuting, said: “This was a joint enterprise where Emidas and the boy acted jointly. They are both equally responsible for the murder, whoever it was that stabbed him.

The court heard that Emidas and BB were messaging through out the day, which was a Sunday, leading up to the stabbing and eventually arranged to meet in Riseholme.

The jury were told that the pair were meeting in order to resolve a dispute between friends of theirs.

The court heard messages that show Emidas told BB to come alone, but once BB suggested bringing a friend, Emidas said that he would bring the boy; telling BB that “it’s their beef anyway.”

Both Krutkevicuis and the boy deny murder. The trial continues.
