Teenager punched repeatedly in the head in violent mugging in Bourne

A 16-year-old male has been repeatedly punched in the head and his phone stolen in a violent daytime attack in Bourne.

The assault is reported to have happened on South Road, Bourne at around 2.20pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

According to Lincolnshire Police, the teenager was walking near the car wash.

A police spokesman stated: “An offender is believed to have walked up behind him before punching the victim repeatedly in the head.

“The victim was wearing headphones and was using his phone at the time, but the attack caused him to drop his phone. The victim ran from the offender and when he returned the phone was missing. It is believed that it had been stolen.”

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to this attack to come forward, and as South Road is a busy road, they also ask motorists to review their dashcam footage for any evidence.
