Teenager charged with attempted murder following Peterborough stabbing

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested over the weekend on Saturday following an incident involving a man aged in his 30s in Orton Malborne.

The man was found in Blackmead with multiple stab wounds, but police said it is “not yet clear where exactly the assault took place”.

He was said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital,

Earlier this week police searched a property in Meriton, Orton Goldhay as part of their investigation.

The 17-year-old was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded into custody, and will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday)
