Teenager arrested after falling into garden pond while running from Peterborough police

A teenager was arrested for '˜going equipped to steal' at a property in Peterborough after falling into a fish pond.

The hapless 16-year-old was one of three males disturbed by a resident in a garden in Langley, Bretton, last night, Monday February 1.

On being disturbed by the vigilant householder two of the suspects ran off, however one fell into a fish pond and was detained by police.

The boy, from Peterborough, has been released on bail and is to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station, on February 23.
