Technical fault hits Cambridgeshire police 101 number

Residents in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire are being asked to avoid calling the police’s non-emergency 101 number.

Police put out a message on social media this afternoon (Friday) which stated: “We are continuing to experience technical problems this afternoon. Please avoid calling 101 and report all non-emergencies online via http://cambs.police.uk/report or call back later on.

“Only dial 999 in an emergency. We apologise for any inconveniences caused.”
