Speeding middle lane hogger fined at court

Hardi Alizada (30) was travelling north on the A1 at Peterborough when he was spotted driving his Audi A7 at 90mph in the 70mph zone.
Officers also noticed him driving in the incorrect lanes on the motorway.

Hide AdLast week he appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court, where he was fined £166.
The court heard Alizada was followed by police from Brampton Hut until he was directed into Haddon Services, driving constantly in lane three (of four) making no effort to use lanes one or two, despite other vehicles overtaking him and moving back into the correct lanes.
When questioned about the standard of his driving, he said: "I thought I was helping the lorry drivers by not getting too close."
Alizada, ofPotters Hollow, Nottingham, pleaded guilty to speeding and to driving without consideration for others. Along with the fine he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £110, and had three points put on his licence.
