Spalding shooting: Peterborough man questioned for fourth day as more suspects released on bail

The 30-year-old was arrested on Sunday morning in Willonholt, Ravensthorpe, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH.

A second man from the Peterborough area, a 26-year-old, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent but has since been released on bail.

In total, nine people have been arrested over the incident, with five now having been bailed and four continuing to be questioned.

The major investigation follows the 24-year-old victim being left with a gunshot wound before being taken by a motorist to hospital where they are said to remain.

Police were called about the incident at 9.20pm on Friday but have declined to disclose where in Spalding the shooting occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 436 of February 28.

A 20-year-old from the Spalding area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Possession of Class B drug.

A 22-year-old from the Boston area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Assisting an offender.

A 40-year-old woman from the Spalding area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Assisting an offender

. Conspiracy to commit GBH.

A 26-year-old man from the Peterborough area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Wounding with intent.

A 30-year-old man from the Peterborough area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Conspiracy to commit GBH.

An 18-year-old from the Spalding area has been arrested on suspicion of:

. Conspiracy to commit GBH.
