Second murder arrest after body found outside industrial unit - road remains closed

A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a man in Wisbech.

The 27-year-old man from Wisbech was arrested earlier today and has been taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station.

A 24-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in custody.

The victim is believed to be a 28-year-old man from Wisbech, however, he has not yet been formally identified.

A post mortem examination carried out by Dr Ben Swift at Peterborough City Hospital today concluded the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

The victim’s body was discovered at about 5.10am yesterday (Saturday) outside an industrial unit in Sandall Road, Wisbech.

The road remains closed while investigations take place.
