Police re-issue hate crime appeal after assault outside sports centre

Police have re-issued an appeal to identify three men in relation to a hate crime.

Lincolnshire Police said it wanted to hear from anyone who thinks they can help identify the men, two of whom are pictured. Police said one is “described as ‘fat’, another was wearing shorts and not a top and a third wore glasses”.

Police said an assault occurred outside the Castle Sports Centre & Swimming Pool in Albion Street, Spalding.

Three offenders, who were reported to be on push bikes, assaulted the victim who received minor injuries.

Police said: “As reference was made by the offenders to the victim being an immigrant, we are treating this as a hate crime.”

The incident took place between 5.40pm and 6.30pm on Saturday, April 25.
