Police investigating Peterborough robbery release CCTV pictures

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak with in connection with a robbery in Peterborough last month.

The 23-year-old victim was in an alleyway between Taverner’s Road and Rome Terrace at about 11pm on Thursday, 21 January, with a friend having a cigarette.

A man entered the alleyway and attacked the friend before he managed to run away, leaving the 23-year-old alone with him.

The man then assaulted the victim, throwing multiple punches and pulling out a flick-knife before pulling a gold chain off his neck and dragging him across the street to Summerfield Road.

The pair were joined by another man who got out of a burgundy Vauxhall Insignia and punched the victim, brandishing a knife from his trousers.

Managing to run away, the victim got to safety and went to hospital where it was confirmed he had sustained two fractured bones behind his eye.
