Police investigate head-on collision which closed Peterborough’s Thorpe Road

The two car crash occurred before 7pm with police closing the road near Longthorpe Parkway at 7.23pm for around an hour.

A police spokesman said there were only minor injuries with nobody requiring hospital treatment.

However, one of the drivers did not stop at the scene so police are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cambridgeshire police on 101.

Stagecoach buses were diverted while the road was closed, but recovery has now taken place with traffic flowing normally.
