Police dispersal order to cover Central Park in Peterborough after large groups of youths gather
The issue was first revealed by the Peterborough Telegraph last week and since then, Police have increased patrols.

Hide AdImages taken from officers’ body worn video cameras on Sunday evening (November 8) show large large youths congregating together in the area, breaking current lockdown restrictions.
The dispersal order now in place includes the area bordered by Bourges Boulevard, A47 between Bourges Boulevard and Parnwell Way, Paston Parkway to A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway, River Nene between Frank Perkins Parkway and Bourges Boulevard (see map).
A Police statement on social media said: “Do you know where your child is?
“These photos were captured on one of our officer’s body worn video cameras last night in Central Park.

Hide Ad“In response to this, we were deployed to the area and will be patrolling throughout the rest of this week, plus a dispersal order has been put in place giving us extra powers to move people on from the area.
“We’re trying to do our bit, but we’re urging parents to support us in ensuring Covid-19 regulations are adhered to.
“These images are not acceptable. We will continue to engage with people, but we will enforce the law and take appropriate action against those breaching Covid-19 guidelines.”
