Police cordon off Peterborough flats following suspected arson attack

Police have cordoned off a block of flats near Peterborough city centre after a suspected arson attack.

Police were called at 7.51pm yesterday (11 January) with reports of a fire at a block of flats in Lincoln Road near the junction with Geneva Street.

Officers and fire crews attended the scene of the blaze, which affected one property. Nobody was injured.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, but it is believed to have been started deliberately.
