Police confirm they are treating deaths of two people as a murder investigation

Police have confirmed they are treating the probe into the death of two people at a Spalding address as a murder investigation.

Police were called at 5.30am on Thursday to a home in Winsover Road, where the bodies of a man and a woman, both aged in their 30s were found.

The deaths were treated as unexplained, but two men were arrested on suspicion of murder.

The two men have now been released with no further action.

Detective Inspector Andy McWatt, Senior Investigating Officer, said, “I recognise this is a deeply sad time for the family and friends of those involved and worrying for the local community. Our investigation is in the early stages but I can update we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.

“I will be in a position to share more information in the coming days. I ask that the privacy of those affected by this investigation is respected.

“If anyone has concerns or information they would like to pass I ask that they get in touch.”
