Police appeal for witnesses to assault and theft

Police have today (Saturday, June 13) issued an appeal for witnesses to an assault and theft that happened last month in Spalding.

In a statement released this afternoon Lincolnshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to an assault and theft that happened at around 3.45pm on Sunday, May 24, on Holbeach Road, Spalding.

“A male wearing all red cycling gear and helmet rode a bicycle towards the victim’s car, which was turning into Lidl.

“The cyclist approached the driver’s window, punched him in the face and took his car keys.

“The cyclist then left the area.

“If you saw the incident, or have any information that can help our appeal, call 101 quoting Incident 213 of 24th May.”
