A Peterborough woman caught driving more than three times over the drink drive limit has been sentenced.

Jayne Horsted (52) of Eyrescroft, Bretton, was stopped on April 3 last year while driving a Nissan Juke on Bretton Way.

She gave a breathalyser reading of 130 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol.

She was given a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 18 months, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122, and costs of £85.

She was also ordered to take part in a mental health treatment requirement for 12 months, and a rehabilitation activity requirement for 35 days.

Magistrates also disqualified Horsted from driving for 36 months. The ban can be reduced by 36 weeks if the drink drive rehabilitation course is completed by February 6 2023.
