Peterborough United arrests and banning orders revealed

The number of Peterborough United fans who were arrested or received banning orders last season has been revealed.

According to new Home Office figures, six Posh fans were arrested in the 2016/17 season, down from 14 the season before and four the season before that.

Of the six arrests last season, three were at home matches and two were at away matches. One arrest was made by British Transport Police.

Three of the arrests were for violent disorder, two for alcohol offences and one for public disorder.

In League One, there were 321 arrests last season.

The worst culprits were Sheffield United fans with 35, followed by Coventry City (34), Bradford City (32) and Millwall (31).

Three Posh fans also received banning orders, down from 15 the season before and two the season before that.

There were 100 banning orders in League One last season, with Millwall fans receiving 15 and Southend United fans receiving 14.

Overall, the Championship was the league with most arrests (455).

And the team with the most arrests in the country were Birmingham (72), followed by West Ham (67).
