Peterborough teen charged with murdering father of three in city remanded into custody

Leam Smith, 19, of Branston Rise, Welland, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today charged with the murder of Dainius Kasiliauskis on Friday morning.

Smith was remanded into custody and will appear at Norwich Crown Court at a virtual hearing on Wednesday.

Officers were called at 9.42am on Friday to reports of a stabbing in Tilton Court, Welland, Peterborough.

Emergency services attended but Dainius 27, of Buckminster Place, Peterborough, died at the scene.
