Peterborough stabbing: Five more people arrested

Five more people have been arrested after a stabbing in Peterborough last week.

An 18-year-old man from Orton Malborne was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following reports of a stabbing in Elmfield Road, Dogsthorpe, at about 3.20pm last Wednesday.

Armed police were called to the scene with a man in his 20s suffering serious injuries, according to police, although he was said to be in a stable condition.

This morning (Monday), police said the teen has been bailed to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on June 1.

And a spokeswoman confirmed that five other people have been arrested in connection with the incident:

.Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on Thursday evening on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). They have been bailed to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on May 18.

. A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were both arrested on Friday on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). They have been bailed to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on May 19.

. A 47-year-old woman was also arrested on Friday on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released under investigation.
