Peterborough residents warned over rogue traders during coronavirus crisis

With more and more people self isolating to avoid the consequences of the disease, and to prevent it being spread to others, community groups have come forward to offer help to residents who need it most.
However, Cambridgeshire police have now warned residents to make sure they remain aware of rogue traders who may seek to take advantage of people.

Hide AdA police spokesman said: “While it is fantastic to see local community groups coming together to support vulnerable people, we are aware of reports of rogue traders looking to profit from the social ramifications of Covid-19.”
“If you, or someone you know is offered support by a stranger, please take all steps possible to identify them and ensure that they are offering genuine support.”
