Peterborough Police arrest three men after cannabis and cash found in car

Police have arrested three men after cannabis and cash was found in a car in Peterborough on Thursday (February 25).

Officers in the centre of Bretton picked up the distinctive smell of the drug and were able to trace it back to a car, where they found two large bags of cannabis and £500 cash inside.

All three men in the car were arrested and have since been released while Police investigate.

A statement from Cambridgeshire Police said: “After our neighbourhood officers sniffed out that very distinctive smell of cannabis in Bretton Centre yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, it led them to a car where they found three men, two large bags of cannabis and £500 in cash.

“All three men were arrested, but they’ve since been released from custody while we investigate.
