Peterborough man injured in Valentine's Day stabbing in the city

A man was injured when he was stabbed in Peterborough yesterday morning.

A large police cordon was put in place at a property in Fletton High Street after violence broke out.

Today Cambridgeshire police confirmed a man had been stabbed in the incident - which yesterday officers described as 'an isolated incident.'

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 9.43am yesterday (14 February) to reports of violence on High Street, Fletton.

"The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be serious. He has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made.
