A man is due in court charged with attempting to set light to a fuel station in Peterborough this week.

Deimantas Basys, 27, of Wake Road in Eastgate, was arrested on Wednesday evening following an incident of attempted arson at a BP Garage in St John’s Street, also in Eastgate.
He has been charged with attempting to commit arson with intent to endanger life and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 8 January).
